You’re right to say Microsoft does a lot of downright evil stuff. Both Google and Microsoft are big companies with (semi) monopolies, which sucks in itself.
But I feel that doesn’t mean we have to be lenient with Google. Just this morning I read Google Chrome is going to block ads that are bigger than 4mb and use the cpu for more than 30 seconds. On the first glance it seems like a great move, but it means Google is going to block ads of competitor ad companies. It seems to me this is a major conflict of interest.
I’m not up to speed with the moral issues concerning Amazon, since I’m Dutch and Amazon isn’t really a thing here (only AWS). But I can imagine Amazon is doing questionable stuff too.
